During the week of Winter Symposium, Dependable Solutions was proud to join their fellow ICLA members in a fun 5K race competition. Passionate runners of the DSI team, actively participated in the race, from California, to UK and Bangladesh.
International Collegiate Licensing Association, ICLA has taken a unique approach to a popular event with the current times in mind. ICLA hosted their 19th annual winter symposium on February 2 and 4, virtually this year.
Our runners completed the 5k run in three days.
While attending the Winter Symposium itself, the super enthusiastic runners from DSI were also prepping their running gears and brushing off their shoes.
From running up and down sidewalks, or along waterfronts, and into neighborhood parks- a combination of cabin fever, closed gyms, and the need to stay physically fit has been the driver to get out of the house for the most of us.
For many of us, running has provided a much-needed escape from the humdrum of working from home and not socializing in person. says Marty Malysz, President of DSI, who has completed three marathons, breaking his foot trying to run his fourth.
This is an opportunity for the ICLA community to unite, and to celebrate the escape of running to stay physically and mentally healthy.”
The 5k race is not only a race, but rather a solidarity of runners to collaborate with the licensing professionals across the collegiate industry.
Regardless of the location, runners across the ICLA community grabbed weather fit gears and masks to enter the race- in whatever way it was safe for them to do so.
